Happy birthday to ‘The Wall’

MILAN – During nine seasons with the Nerazzurri, he registered 236 appearance and 17 goals. Starting with his first official league outing against Chievo on 21 September 2005, to his decisive goal in the #DerbyMilano in 2011/12, which was one of the Derby’s fastest ever goals, scored after only 180 seconds. He was a silent leader and struck fear into opponents, all of which has cemented him into Inter’s history.

He was the defensive pivot of the Nerazzurri’s Triplete winning season, and he won multiple trophies in the Inter shirt: five Scudetto titles, four Italian Super Cups, 3 Coppa Italia, one Champions League and one Club World Cup.
