Player comments after the win at San Siro

Three goals, three points and a convincing performance that further built on the team's previous matches. Against Sampdoria, Inter picked up their fourth consecutive league win, with the Nerazzurri now also unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions. After the full-time whistle, a few Inter players had their say on the game, starting with Nicolò Barella, who scored a wonderful goal:

“We’ve been scoring many goals recently. We also need to try to avoid conceding, which is what we managed to do today. We’re on the right track. My goal? The lads know that I always make that run and Bastoni did brilliantly; I’d like to thank him for the assist. Irrespective of my goal, we managed to score thanks to the game we’re playing. There’s enthusiasm and we’re displaying quality, and we need to continue on this path. I have a great relationship with Lukaku. We have fun and are a great group. It’s great to play football when we have this quality, desire and attitude.”

Nicolò Barella

“I’m happy about my goal and the win. We’re very focused and confident, and we’ve been back on the right track for several games now. There’s a lot of us and everyone wants to do well; you always need to be switched on to do so and help the team. Bayern? Our objective is always to win. We’ll head there with the aim of proving that we’re a great team.”

Joaquin Correa

“It was important to get the first goal. We were looking for it and hadn’t had any big chances, and we needed to score to go on and get more. I hadn’t found the net in a while and I’m happy on a personal level, but the most important thing is the team. I’m pleased that we’re now doing better compared to how things were going at the start of the season, and we need to continue on this track. I always try to give my all. Recent results have been positive, and it’s important to carry on winning because we need to recover lost ground. We have to keep on performing.”
