FC Internazionale Milano board approves 2021/22 financial year results

— Sep 28th 2022The 2021/22 financial year, which continued to be deeply affected by the economic measures taken in the wake of the pandemic, has shown positive progression and has been approved by the Board of Directors, recording an increase in consolidated revenues of approximately €75 million up to €439.6 million and a reduction of losses of approximately €105 million to €140 million. The Majority Shareholder has already formally expressed his commitment to commitment to backing the group by ensuring asset support.
Milan, 28 September 2022 - The F.C. Internazionale Milano S.p.A Board of Directors have approved the consolidated financial statements for the 2021/22 financial year. The financial statements will be submitted for approval at the F.C. Internazionale S.p.A. Shareholders' Meeting, which will be held at the end of October.
FINANCIAL RESULTS As per the previous financial year, 2021/22 was largely affected by the social and economic consequences of the pandemic, with a gradual relaxation of restrictions only coming into place in the second half of the football season. Given this context, the club has achieved positive results.
The financial results of last season show an increase of approximately €75 million in consolidatedrevenues which amounted to €439.6 million, compared to €364.7 million from the previous financial year. Using financial comparatives, which means the end of the 2019/20 season is not taken into account in the 2020/21 financial year, despite the time overlap, the increase in revenues is approximately €140 million.
The financial year ended with a loss of €140million, which is a reduction of about €105 million compared to €245.6 million in 2021. The Majority Shareholder has already formally expressed his commitment to backing the group by ensuring asset support
2021/22 OVERVIEW Inter ended the season with two trophies – their eighth Coppa Italia and sixth Italian Super Cup – and finished second in Serie A, confirming that the team is highly competitive at the top level.
PROJECTIONS FOR THE CURRENT SEASON The 2022/23 football season began with San Siro full of Inter fans. This followed a successful season-ticket campaign, the first since the pandemic, confirming the record-breaking trend of attendance at the Meazza.
