Read on to find out what the centre-back had to say.
Has playing against Udinese given you a lift?
“I'm happy we beat Udinese and that we're continuing to win matches. I try to make sure I'm always ready to step in and do my bit, helping the team by giving advice or whatever I can to the new players and the youngsters. We're here to talk about the Champions League and I can tell you that this is a match we have to win tomorrow.”
How do you manage to stay on the ball mentally when you're not playing regularly?
“It comes with age and experience. I found it harder when I was younger. I'm mature enough now to make sure I'm always ready when called upon. Being part of a great group of lads who help and motivate each other also helps a lot. I'm lucky to be able to train with guys like this.”
What's the main difference between this Inter team and the one from the previous two years?
“This team has very solid foundation. We've done very well in the past few years and this season we've been joined by some talented players who are giving their all. The coach has conveyed his ideas to us. There's a long way to go and we still have lots of work to do but the main thing is we go out there and put into practice the things we work on at the training ground.”
