BRESCIA – He netted another important goal that contributed to another Inter win. Lautaro Martinez continued his fine start to the season as he scored the opener in the Nerazzurri’s win against Brescia at the Rigamonti. The Argentine forward has now scored seven this season, five of which have come in the league. This is what he had to say after the match: “It was a highly intense match. We knew that it’d be difficult on this pitch and we knew that Brescia would look to sit back and keep things tight, but we tried to play our game in spite of this. I’m happy because we’ve picked up an important victory.
“We’re playing every three days and it isn’t easy. There is slight fatigue, also because the game we play requires a high amount of intensity. But I’m happy, we’re working well with Conte and are on the right path. We need to take it game by game and try to play with the same intensity and always fight to pick up three points.
“Playing at the Rigamonti isn’t easy, their fans get behind their team. Now, we’ll turn our attention towards Bologna and then the Champions League, showing great intensity in doing so. I’m happy with my goal, I’m doing great work and need to continue like this in order to help my teammates. Inter is the most important thing.”
