MILAN - A second Nerazzurri debut for Cristiano Biraghi. His last appearance in an Inter shirt came in the Champions League against Werder Bremen in December 2010. More than 3,000 days later, he found himself back on the pitch at San Siro in our colours. And it was Biraghi who proved decisive, providing the assist for Ambrosio’s match-winning goal: “After the first whistle blew, any nerves just disappeared: I’m happy for the team and our victory tonight. Playing at San Siro always gives you goose bumps. I’m in a strong team and the Coach is giving us the right mentality, so that we always give our all and go beyond any limits set for us. We’re thinking game by game right now, then at the end of the season we’ll look back on everything and see how we did.”
Biraghi spoke about the goal: “Lazzari knows me well and had my left covered so I had to cut back on my right and in the end it was a good cross.”
Speaking to Inter TV he then added the following: “My goal was always to return to Inter, I worked so hard to make that a reality. I’m giving my all for this team every single day.”
