The Coach ahead of SPAL vs. Inter: "I've got starters for one match and starters for another match, it's always Inter that plays."

APPIANOGENTILE - The Nerazzurri’s Coach LucianoSpalletti spoke earlier at the pre-match press conference for SPAL vs. Inter. "We need to focus and think back to previous situations when we slipped up with a sub-par performance. I will still be hearing the Champions League music in the dressing room in Ferrara."

"At this point of the season, tiredness starts to have a bit of an impact and we’ll keep all of the players in the squad in mind and Joao Mario will certainly come in useful. I don’t like talk of rotation, I have starters for one match and starters for another match. The squad is large because it should be, the club worked very well in this regard to bring depth and it’s on me to make the most of the players.

"We’ve still not shown our best and we can’t feel comfortable because of these wins. Every match is its own test and every situation that we’ll face will be a chance to show that we're worthy of Inter. We picked up some big results in the unique competition that is the Champions League.

"Against Parma, we gave up little and created a lot but in the end, it’s the result that matters. There were moments that we could have made the most of and the result would have been different but the performance wasn’t that different from others where we’ve secured three points. I believe in work, not in a result or individual episodes. We’ve faced some difficulties, we worked harder and now we’re where we wanted to be.

"I’m always in love with my players in a footballing sense, therefore they hardly ever surprise me. When you see someone with a career such as Borja Valero who is out of the team but can then make a difference in a few minutes, you see that the more players we have like him, the more we’ll be able to go on an important journey.

"The fans are what pull you along, there are those who work behind the scenes and who do the groundwork for us, we need to make their wishes come true."
