Handonovic: "We showed great character"

MILAN - SamirHandanovic had this to say after the Nerazzurri's opening win against Tottenham in the Champions League: "It's a crucial win. This evening we showed great character.

"We continued to play even after Tottenham's goal and the team wasn't disjointed as in other games. The stadium pushed us on. It was a fantastic evening, a spectacular match with a crazy atmosphere. 

"The group will be very balanced right until the end. This win gives us strength not to give up and provides us with a lot of enthusiasm. We haven't started well in the league but this win puts a bit of wind in our sails. We must remember this match when considering what awaits us on Saturday."
