Mauro Icardi prepares to make his 150th Serie A appearance, while Ivan Perisic and Miranda face the team they scored their first Serie A goals against


MILAN – Ahead of Monday night’s visit of Sampdoria to San Siro, we’ve teamed up with Opta to bring you the key stats on the game.

  • Monday will be the fifth time that Inter and Sampdoria have faced off in Week 30 of Serie A.

  • Inter’s last four Serie A matches have produced an average of 5.5 goals.

  • The Nerazzurri have won nine of their last ten league games, only losing to Roma. Inter have scored at least two goals in nine of those ten games.

  • Inter – and Roma – have had more shots than any other team in Serie A, with 507. The Nerazzurri have also had 729 crosses from open play and 91 headed efforts – both league highs.

  • Ivan Perisic’s first Serie A goal came against Sampdoria in October 2015. Miranda’s only goal in the Nerazzurri shirt also came against the Blucerchiati in Inter’s 3-1 defeat of Samp in February 2016.

  • Mauro Icardi made his Serie A debut for Sampdoria and made it to double figures for goals scored in his first season.

  • Icardi has scored in both his Serie A matches against Sampdoria at San Siro.

  • Icardi’s next appearance will be his 150th in Serie A. He has scored 77 goals and supplied 22 assists in 149 appearances so far.

  • This season, Icardi has had a key role in 28 Inter goals (20 goals scored, eight assists), more than any other player.

  • Antonio Candreva has created 22 chances for Mauro Icardi, the most chances created by one player for a team-mate this season.

  • Candreva has supplied more crosses in open play than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues.

  • Eder scored 40 Serie A goals in 112 Serie A appearances for Sampdoria. He’s only scored one goal against Samp, the first time he faced them in Serie A.

  • Tommaso Berni and Jonathan Biabiany have also played for Sampdoria.

  • Sampdoria players Angelo Palombo, Matias Silvestre, Emiliano Viviano, Ricky Alvarez and Dodo have all turned out for Inter.
