Inter take on Venezia at 15:00 CET on matchday 20 of the Serie A campaign. This is our first league match in 2025. After the side's exploits in Saudi Arabia, the team returned to training on Wednesday and took part in their final training session on Saturday before departing for Venice by train.
The scene for matchday 20 of Serie A will be the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo: this is the first time that the Nerazzurri have played at 15:00 CET on a Sunday since 23 May, 2021. On that occasion it was Inter vs. Udinese, on the final day of the 2020/21 season, the day on which the Nerazzurri lifted Scudetto number 19.
INTER: NERAZZURRI NUMBERS
Inter have won the last five league games, conceding just one goal (the overall score being 19-1), and have not achieved more consecutive victories in Serie A since the period between January and March 2024 (with ten wins at that time). Inzaghi's side, alongside Juventus, are one of the only teams yet to lose away this season: the Nerazzurri have won all of their last five away games without conceding a goal (the total score being 18-0) and could secure six consecutive away wins with a 'clean sheet' for the first time in history. With the best attack in the league and still two games in hand, Inter have scored 45 goals in Serie A for the third time in the side's history, following the 1949/50 and 1950/51 seasons (48 on both occasions).

The eve of the clash on matchday 20 in the League began with a training session at the BPER Training Centre in Appiano Gentile, before the team's departure for Venice.

There have been 27 previous meetings between Inter and Venezia in Serie A: the Nerazzurri have won 15 times, drawn six times and lost six. Five of the losses have come at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo. This will be the third time in which Inter and Venezia have faced each other in the league with more than 25 points separating them (26 at the moment), after 27 January 2002 (31 points in difference, 1-1 at the Penzo) and on 22 January 2022 (difference of 32 points, 2-1 win for the Nerazzurri at the Meazza).
