Samuel's goals against Chievo

Against ChievoVerona, Walter Adrian Samuel has scored his highest number of goals so far since he began playing in Italy: 4 of his total 25.

Stramaccioni's first against Chievo

This will be the first competitive encounter between Stramaccioni and ChievoVerona.

A coaching first

This will be the first ever meeting between coaches Domenico Di Carlo and Andrea Stramaccioni.

Di Carlo, winless and without a clean sheet

It will be the 10th competitive match between Di Carlo and Inter and so far the Chievo coach has yet to win. The current record stands at 7 wins for the Nerazzurri and 2 draws. In these 9 matches Inter have always scored for a total of 20 goals.

Inter coming off of 4 consecutive away wins

Inter are coming off of 4 consecutive away wins, obtained against Hajduk Split and Vaslui (3-0 and 2-0 respectively in the Europa League), Pescara and Torino (3-0 and 2-0 respectively in the Serie A). The last away match that the Nerazzurri failed to win goes back to 13 May: a 1-3 loss to Lazio in the Serie A. Should the Nerazzurri win today and add a 5th consecutive away win in a competitive match, then it would be necessary to go back to the period of December 2007 - January 2008 to find a similar string of wins; at that time there were 5 victories between the Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Champions League.

A clean sheet away for last 360 minutes

The last away goal let in by Inter in a competitive match came on 13 May in the Serie A in a 1-3 defeat to Lazio. The scorer of the third Biancoceleste goal was Mauri in the 90th minute. From that moment four entire away matches have passed: Hajduk Split and Vaslui (3-0 and 2-0 respectively in the Europa League), Pescara and Torino (3-0 and 2-0 respectively in the Serie A), for a total of 360 away minutes with a clean sheet.

Inter held scoreless only once against Chievo

Inter have always scored in their 10 matches at the Stadio Bentegodi for a total of 16 goals. The Nerazzurri have failed to score only once in 20 competitive matches against Chievo in both Veneto and Lombardy: it happened on 14 March 2004 in a 0-0 Serie A draw in Milan. In the other 19 matches Inter have scored a total of 36 goals.

Chievo scoreless against Inter for 278 minutes

Chievo's last official goal against Inter came on 21 November 2010 in the Serie A when the Gialloblu won 2-1. The scorer of Chievo's second goal was Moscardelli in the 82nd minute. From that moment, including the remaining 8 minutes from that match, and the following 3 league matches won by Inter (2-0 at home in 2010/11, 1-0 at home and 2-0 away in 2011/12), Chievo have not scored for 278 minutes.

300 Serie A matches for Cassano

Should Antonio Cassano take to the pitch he would celebrate his 300th career match in the Serie A. His current 299 games have come wearing the shirts of Bari, Roma, Sampdoria, AC Milan and Inter. His Serie A debut came on 11 December 1999 in Lecce 1-0 Bari.

VERONA - Andrea Stramaccioni's side made it five wins out of five on the road this season with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Chievo at the Stadio Bentegodi.

The coach had expected Chievo to provide a stern test and the hosts certainly got off on the right foot, Pellissier and Di Michele causing problems for Inter early on. Guarin responded for the visitors by fizzing an effort across the face of the goal before Pereira struck two minutes before the interval: Nagatomo's cross left him with the simple task of tucking home from just yards out. An important goal for the Nerazzurri and the Uruguayan's first for the club. Inter came out after the break with the bit between their teeth as Milito and Cassano linked up to good effect in the final third, while Marco Rigoni and Co. drew a couple of big saves from Handanovic. Cassano, set up by Gargano, made things more comfortable for Inter with a cool finish: his third in black and blue on his 300th Serie A appearance.
