46' Half time. Barcelona 2-0 Inter.
45' One minute of added time.
45' Back at the other end, Julio Cesar saves Keita's flicked header from Xavi's corner.
43' Inter's first shot on goal comes from the feet of Diego Milito. Valdes saves Il Principe's low effort from 20 yards.
41' Xavi floats an inch-perfect cross over to Dani Alves on the right. The ball comes off Stankovic and it's a corner to the hosts.
36' A suicidal moment for Alves, who loses control of Abidal's back pass, allowing Stankovic a free shot on goal. The Serbian's effort is off target.
35' Alves beats Samuel to Maicon's floated cross.
34' Puyol is yellow-carded after a harsh challenge on Milito.
32' Lucio makes another crucial interception to end a flowing Barça move involving Xavi, Iniesta and Henry.
30' Puyol makes a clearance from Maicon's right-wing corner. Inter work the ball back into the box but the Azulgrana captain clears again.
29' Stankovic looks for Eto'o with a low ball to the edge of the area. Piqué intercepts.
26' GOAL. Dani Alves is freed down the right and he sends a looping cross over to the far post where Pedro is on hand to knock the ball in off Julio Cesar. BARCELONA 2-0 INTER.
24' Pedro gets past Maicon and Zanetti before seeing his low weak cross intercepted by Lucio.
21' Julio Cesar makes a two-fisted block from Henry who was put through by Iniesta. The Frenchman is flagged for offside.
20' Pedro collects a beautiful ball from Keita in the area and looks for Iniesta but Lucio makes a vital interception.
18' Thiago Motta is booked for foul play.
16' Iniesta's cross into the six-yard box is blocked and cleared by Lucio.
15' Xavi's curling free kick ends up on the roof of the net.
13' Zanetti commits a foul on Henry in the D. A dangerous place for a free kick.
12' Lucio blocks a left-wing cross from Pedro.
10' GOAL. Gerard Piqué latches on to Henry's headed flick to the far post and prods home. Xavi took the corner that led to the goal. BARCELONA 1-0 INTER.
9' Henry goes down under a challenge from Samuel and calls for a free kick but the Argentine's intervention was perfectly timed.
8' Another ball into the area by Iniesta. Julio Cesar thwarts Henry.
7' Iniesta serves Xavi in the area. Julio Cesar gets there first.
6' Walter Samuel makes a headed clearance from a free kick after Stankovic's foul on Busquets.
6' The hosts attack back as Pedro races down the left but Zanetti intercepts and wins a free kick after a foul by the Barça forward.
5' Maicon breaks down the right and unleashes a cross. Blaugrana cpatain Puyol blocks.
3' Xavi wins his team a corner after his low shot takes a deflection. Daniel Alves' cross in is a dangerous one but Thiago Motta is first to the ball and the Brazilian concedes another corner.
1' Camp Nou is familiar territory for Mourinho, who spent 4 years here from 1996-2000, and 3 players. Thiago Motta played here for 5 seasons after a 3-year spell with the B team, Quaresma remained for one campaign, and Eto'o spent 5 seasons in Catalonia.
1' OK, here's the situation. Victory tonight will see us through, while holders Barcelona will exit the competition if they lose and Rubin beat Dynamo (that game is currently under way). Group F is still wide open with two points separating the four teams.
1' Milito also knows plenty about Barça - he scored twice against them for Real Zaragoza, and his brother Gabriel plays for the Azulgrana. Also in the know are Samuel, Cambiasso and Sneijder - all El Clasico veterans from their time at Real Madrid.
1' Over the other side and Barcelona coach Guardiola is no stranger to Italian football. As a player he took part in two European Cup/UCL finals against Sampdoria and AC Milan, and he played Serie A football for Brescia (in two separate spells) and Roma.
1' Players Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Maxwell have more recent experience of life in Italy, having swapped Inter shirts for Barça ones in the summer.
1' The lineups are official. Eto'o returns to the starting lineup after his appearance as a substitute against Bologna and he will partner Milito in attack. Sneijder has not been passed fit, so it's Stankovic at the tip of the midfield diamond.
1' Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are among the substitutes for Barcelona, who will start with Iniesta, Pedro and Henry in attack.
1' Barcelona: 1 Valdes; 2 Dani Alves, 3 Piqué, 5 Puyol, 22 Abidal; 6 Xavi, 16 Busquets, 15 Keita; 8 Iniesta, 17 Pedro, 14 Henry.
Subs: 13 Pinto, 4 Marquez, 9 Ibrahimovic, 10 Messi, 11 Bojan, 19 Maxwell, 28 Jonathan.
1' Inter: 12 Julio Cesar; 13 Maicon, 6 Lucio, 25 Samuel, 26 Chivu; 4 Zanetti, 19 Cambiasso, 8 Thiago Motta; 5 Stankovic; 22 Milito, 9 Eto'o.
Subs: 1 Toldo, 2 Cordoba, 7 Quaresma, 11 Muntari, 14 Vieira, 23 Materazzi, 45 Balotelli.
1' The final whistle has gone at the Centralniy Stadium in Kazan: Rubin Kazan 0-0 Dynamo Kiev. That means Barcelona won't be knocked out tonight, whatever the result in Catalonia.
1' The teams are out warming up as the Camp Nou continues to fill ahead of the 20:45 kick.off.
1' We're under way in the Camp Nou as Barcelona kick off. FORZA INTER!!!!

Four clean sheets against Italian clubs

Barcelona haven't let in a goal against Italian teams since 27 September 2005 when they beat Udinese 4-1 at home in the Champions League. Felipe scored for the Bianconeri in the 24th minute of that match. The Blaugrana have since faced Italian opposition on four occasions, keeping as many clean sheets (2-0 away to Udinese, 1-0 away and 0-0 at home to AC Milan, and 0-0 away to Inter).

One Barça defeat in last 12 European games

Barcelona have lost only one of their last 12 matches in European competitions, including the 2009 European Super Cup victory over Shakhtar Donetsk. That sole defeat was a 2-1 reverse at home to Rubin Kazan in the Champions League on 20 October 2009. The Spaniards have won 5 and drawn 6 of the other 11 games.

Nerazzurri one short of 100th draw

Inter have drawn 99 matches in international competitions, the first being a 1-1 stalemate with Ujpest Dozsa in the Mitropa Cup in Bern on 31 August 1930.

Inter chasing 5th consecutive away win

With 5-0, 2-0 and 3-1 wins over Genoa, Livorno and Bologna in Serie A, and a 2-1 victory over Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League, Inter are on a four-match winning run on the road. If the Nerazzurri beat Barcelona at the Camp Nou they will have won five consecutive away matches for the first time since Mancini's winning run from December 2007 to January 2008.

BARCELONA - The Barça passing machine proved too strong for Inter on the night as the reigning European champions ran out 2-0 winners in Tuesday's Champions League clash.

Gerard Piqué and Pedro Rodriguez did the damage with goals in the first half to put Barcelona on top of Group F, but qualification will go down to the wire, with all four teams still in with a chance of a place in the last sixteen.

Both sides were without key players for Matchday 5 at the Camp Nou. Messi and Ibrahimovic warmed the bench for Barcelona while Sneijder took his place in the stands after being deemed unfit to play.

Barcelona had never lost two consecutive home games in Europe and the hosts made a strong start. Their first goal came on 10 ten minutes, Piqué stealing in at the far post to knock home Henry's headed flick from a Xavi Hernandez corner.

The Catalan side's nifty winger Pedro volleyed in off Julio Cesar on 26 minutes for their second goal after meeting a right-wing cross from Dani Alves who was picked out in space on the right.

Inter had to wait until the 43rd minute for their first shot on goal, Milito testing Valdes from 20 yards, but Barcelona came close to a third on the stroke of half time, Julio Cesar blocking Keita's flicked header from Xavi's corner.

Barcelona churned out more chances after the break and Julio Cesar made a fantastic save from Xavi early on, before making a tipped save from Dani Alves midway through.

Inter matched their opponents in terms of ball possession in the second half, resulting in more opportunities coming forward.

Stankovic forced a good save from Valdes with a low angled drive directed at the bottom corner, Eto'o was repeatedly denied by the offside flag, and Thiago Motta had a late chance to score what would have been a vital goal for Inter's goal difference, but his header from Maicon's cross was off the mark.
