Youth League | Viktoria Plzeň 0 - 3 Inter

Cristian Chivu's Inter recorded the first win of the season following a stunning performance in the UEFA Youth League at the Stadion TJ Přeštice. After coming from behind to draw 2-2 against Bayern on matchday one, the Nerazzurri today beat Viktoria Plzeň thanks to a Pelamatti brace and Carboni's goal, all in the space of four minutes. The match began with both sides trying to work each other out as the hosts tried to go long down the left, winning a series of corners. Chances were few and far between in the opening stages, although Inter's Carboni sent two efforts wide of the mark. Pelamatti opened the scoring for Inter in the 28th minute. The goal bolstered the away side, and the Nerazzurri went two up through Carboni, whose effort nestled into the corner, and then added a third, Pelamatti securing his brace on the slide. Inter controlled the game after the break and came close through Andersen in the 59th minute and then Carboni, who was denied by Baier. Then, Esposito also had a go but to no avail.

After the 90 minutes were up, Chivu's U19s came away from it with all three points, taking them to a total of four in Youth League Group C.
