Huge win for the Nerazzurri Primavera as they beat Sassuolo 1-0 away. On matchday 31, Coach Zanchetta’s lads ran out winners thanks to a great free-kick from Cocchi in the final moments. It was a hard-fought, action-packed game with the Nerazzurri almost taking the lead several times before securing the winner.
The game started with a chance for the Nerazzurri: in the opening minute, Lavelli deflected a free-kick from Topalovic but the ball went just wide. The first 15 minutes were balanced, both sides fighting for every ball, but without any big chances. Inter almost went ahead in the 19th minute: Zouin from the left, perfect ball for Lavelli who hit the crossbar. Sassuolo responded in the 25th minute through Bruno but Zamarian put in a big block. In the 29th minute, the Nerazzurri had another go from a dead-ball situation: Topalovic’s free-kick for Maye’s header which failed to hit the target. In the final moments of the first half, in the 38th minute, Sandro had a go with a powerful shot from the edge of the box but Zamarian once again got there, sending it out for a corner.
The second half started with another chance for Inter: in the 49th minute, Zouin shot from a good position but the Sassuolo keeper was there. In the 59th minute, Weiss tried a shot whilst running but the ball went just wide. The game seemed to be heading for a draw, but then came the 84th minute: Cocchi stepped up for a far-out free kick and sent it in directly under the bar. It was a brilliant goal to secure all three points for Zanchetta’s side. The Inter Primavera walked away with a big win, going temporarily top of the table, two points clear of Roma who are yet to play.
