On Saturday morning, there were games in various football disciplines for all abilities, which involved the Nerazzurri’s Youth Sector and Special Team, with support from Official Partner Hisense
Inter were back out onto the football pitch again with We Are Sport to mark the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. The initiative took place over two days dedicated to football and its power to unite and include those whose biggest passion is the game.
Taking place at the KONAMI Youth Development Centre, the event saw a succession of challenges in different football skills for all abilities, with teams arriving from across Italy for this opportunity to positively share this sporting experience together, including the Paralympic gold medalist Davide Cassioli’s Real Eyes Sport and the Bebe Vio Academy. The Nerazzurri Special Team also participated this season, with around 50 kids who have intellectual-relational disabilities. Some girls and boys from the Nerazzurri Youth Sector took part in today's activities, too, concluding a journey to raise awareness against any form of discrimination that the training activities dedicated to them were designed for. Youth Sector Manager, Massimo Tarantino, greeted the participants on behalf of the Top Management and the whole Club.
The activities continued at Inter vs. Cagliari. Two boys in powerchairs accompanied the captains of the two teams in the line-up before kick-off, after being greeted and welcomed by Vice President Javier Zanetti. An exciting exclusive content produced by Inter Media House was dedicated to them.
The home match also acted as a link to another Club initiative aimed at promoting inclusiveness and loyalty in sport. Around 1,200 young people from the Io Tifo Positivo project, which celebrated ten years of activities last February with an event at the Municipality of Milano, were guests at San Siro.
In this second edition, the initiative was supported by Hisense, an Official Club Partner, and was part of the Corporate Social Responsibility activities that Inter has been successfully carrying out for a long time, bringing its commitment into play in projects carried out in synergy with organisations in the area, aimed at supporting themes of integration, education, social cohesion and combating any type of discrimination with concrete actions.
