The third edition of We Are Sport, an event dedicated to the inclusion of all disabilities in the world of football, took place at the KONAMI Youth Development Centre to celebrate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.
On the morning of Saturday 29 March, the pitches of Interello were filled with matches of different footballing specialities for every ability. The objective of the initiative was to shine a light on the various disciplines, alongside the incredible value of sport as an instrument of affirmation in oneself and social inclusion. The event saw the participation of different associations from the third sector, including the Bebe Vio Academy, with which the Club and the Youth Sector have maintained a constant collaboration. Real Eyes, the association for the promotion of sport for those who are partially sighted led by Daniele Cassioli, returned to Interello for this special occasion.

Inter Special and Snakes Milano also took part in the initiative. The two teams, twinned with our Club, take part in the FIGC Calcio Paralimpico and Sperimentale and the Campionato italiano of PowerChair Football, respectively. Accademia Isola Bergamasca appeared for the first time at the KONAI Centre, an association that participates in the Inter Grassroots Programme and which has allowed for We Are Sport to become a footballing project which integrates different disabilities into a unique footballing experience. The boys and girls of the Youth Sector took part in the activities, confirming the important integration of the CSR activities in the educational programme of the Youth Sector. Vice President Javier Zanetti attended the event and commented:
“With We Are Sport, Inter can reaffirm its commitment to inclusion and valuing every form of talent, once again confirming how football can be an instrument of growth for everyone. ”

Alongside Zanetti, an official greeting from the Club was delivered by the Chief of Staff Max Catanese. After the awarding of the winners, all of the participants gathered to celebrate this day of sport with a refreshment moment organised by Pit'sa's inclusive catering. The initiative was made possible with the support of Enel, the Inter's Official Energy Partner, which confirms its own commitment to the promotion of inclusion and sustainability through sport.
