Marcus Thuram, who now has nine goal contributions in twelve away games in Serie A (five goals and four assists), was a key figure in Inter's victory over Roma at the Olimpico. This is what he had to say after the game:
“I’m improving in terms of attacking the goal. If I don’t manage to meet the ball, I try to cause problems for defenders. I’m aiming to help the team as much as I can, and I’m delighted with tonight’s win because it was a really tough match. I’m learning from everyone, including my teammates. It’s my first season in Italy, so I’m working hard and taking on board what I can. Playing alongside Lauti is fantastic; we’re two players who look to help the team. There’s still a long way to go and difficult matches await - as was the case tonight - but we need to take it game by game until the very end. We always play to win, whether in the league or Champions League.”
