Inzaghi: "We were always in the game, disappointed with the result"

“Credit to Bologna; we knew they’d be a tough side to play. The team produced an excellent performance tonight: we came into it on the back of a very busy period but created plenty of chances. However, we didn’t fully make the most of them. The lads were always in the game, and there’s great regret at not having come away with the three points. We should have been better positioned for their second goal, but then we had a lot of opportunities to score a third. Overall, it was a very demanding match. We conceded two similar goals where our opponents did well, but we could have defended better in both instances. We always need to focus on ourselves. Before tonight’s match, we’d won six league fixtures in a row, and we need to keep going down our path. We have to give a little more at this point of the season because every match in Serie A is very difficult.”
