A tough and hard-fought match that ended with both Inter and Napoli sharing a point. Calhanoglu's response to McTominay's goal set the score, which remained unchanged despite several chances for the Nerazzurri and the first missed penalty by the Turkish midfielder since joining the club. After the match, Yann Sommer shared his thoughts exclusively with Inter TV:
“I believe we had a good second half. Napoli didn't have many chances, while we had two or three opportunities to take the lead, aside from the penalty. We'll take this point, even though we deserved a bit more based on how the match went. We knew that Napoli is a strong team, they defend very well, and they did that today. We also knew it would be tough tonight. Over the past week, we've expended a lot of energy and gained some important points. Now, with the international break, we'll have some time and then we'll regroup and train to earn more points. We've had some intense matches and gained important points, but the game against Arsenal drained a lot of energy from us. It's not easy, and we always have to try to recover as best as we can. It will be a long season with important matches, and while it won’t be easy, we have plenty of energy and a great team.”
