UCL, Skriniar: A special but difficult game, we'll need to be aware"

Simone Inzaghi's Inter side go on the road for the first time in this season's UEFA Champions League as they face Victoria Plzeň in their second game of GROUP C. On the eve of the match, set to be played at the "Města Plzně" stadium on Tuesday 13 September at 18:45 CEST, Milan Skriniar answered questions in the game's pre-match press conference:

You were talked about a lot this summer but we never heard from you. How have things ended up and what could happen between now and January?

As you have said, I didn't speak and that's how I prefer it. It's not the right moment or time to talk about these things, we're focused and want to play this game. If there is any news, you will hear it from me and no-one else.

Because of your nationality, tomorrow is going to be special for you, or not? Is anybody close to you coming to watch?

It will definitely be a special game for me. Slovakia is closer to Plzen than Italy is and so some relatives and friends are coming. Also, many of my teammates in the national side play in Plzen, so it's going to be special for that reason as well.

How do you see Viktoria Plzen under Bílek? In your opinion, what's their biggest danger?

We have seen how this Head Coach has taken this team forward. They are strong physically, well-prepared and very quick on the counter, so we need to be aware of this.

How is the mood around the group after the loss to Bayern and the last win in the league at the weekend?

It wasn't easy to start again after the two defeats to Milan and Bayern but we spoke together as a group, analysed them, and that helped us in getting the win over Torino.

Are you happy to have been drawn out to face Plzen? How have you prepared for tomorrow's game?

I'm personally happy. As I said earlier, I will have family and friends there. We had Slavia Prague in the group stages two years ago so we know that this game is also going to be tough.
