— May 20th 2024Incredible numbers from the Inter supporters in 2023/24: 24 home matches and an average of almost 73,000 in Serie A
The Scudetto on the pitch, the Scudetto in the stands. Before Inter vs. Lazio, San Siro dressed up and wore the most beautiful colours, providing a truly breathtaking, unique and unforgettable spectacle. The tifo to celebrate the Champions of Italy is a moment that will be remembered forever. It was a moment that highlighted the incredible bond shared between the fans and team. The team inspires the fans, and the fans inspire the team. That's how it works, and Coach Inzaghi reiterated this message as he addressed the fans from the centre of the pitch after the lifting of the trophy.
As always, the numbers are highly impressive. 73,148 fans attended the final match (1,806 spectators in the away sector) in what was a sell-out crowd. It brought Inter's total attendance figure in Serie A across the season to 1,383,926. A record-breaking average has thus been achieved: 72,838 fans per match. In every single league game, over 70,000 supporters were in the stands.
In total, 1,728,562 spectators watched Inter at San Siro in 2023/24. Quite simply, incredible affection. The Nerazzurri played 24 matches at the Meazza: 19 in Serie A, four in the Champions League and one in the Coppa Italia. The figures for the cup competitions certainly are remarkable: 207,408 spectators came through the gates during the Champions League group stage, and a further 73,709 watched the clash against Atletico. Meanwhile, an attendance of 63,519 was recorded for the round of 16 showdown with Bologna in Italy's domestic cup competition. This represents yet another record: never before had so many supporters attended a Coppa Italia match in the last 16.
A love without limits, the fuel that drove the team towards an extraordinary feat: that of the Scudetto worth a Second Star. All of this was celebrated at the Meazza in a party atmosphere full of Nerazzurri passion.
Forza Inter, always.
