The thoughts of the Turkish midfielder after Inter's qualification for the quarter-finals

PORTO - A match where the Nerazzurri had to dig deep and fight, with Hakan Calhanoglu contributing to an all-important 0-0 draw through his precision in the middle of the park. This is what the Turk, who picked up the MVP award, had to say following Inter's qualification for the Champions League quarter-finals:

"I'm proud. There are so many emotions after a match like that. It was tough, but we knew that this would be the case. We did well today; it's normal to have to dig in, but the important thing was to make it through. It's really important to be back among the top 8 in Europe for the first time in many years, but we can still do more. We were in a difficult situation at the end, but we all did a great job. I'm absolutely delighted. I expected a game like that: Porto are a strong side, and there's a noisy crowd here. We had a few opportunities, but the crucial thing was not to concede. Now, we'll see what happens. I'd like to thank my teammates and the fans for this award."
