Giorno 7 - La coppa
LEGGINERAZZURRI SUPERCOPPA TITLES
The win over Napoli earned Inter their eighth Supercoppa Italiana in the Club's history: only Juventus, with nine, have more to their name than the Nerazzurri. Inter have won the last three editions: only AC Milan, between 1992 and 1994, have achieved the same feat.
THE SPECIALIST
Simone Inzaghi is the coach with the most number of Supercoppa Italiana trophies to his name in the competition's history: the Nerazzurri head coach now has five, moving ahead of Fabio Capello and Marcello Lippi, both on four successes. As well as the three won with Inter, Inzaghi also lifted the Supercoppa with Lazio (in 2017 and 2019). Considering all competitions, Inzaghi is also the coach with the most number of final wins in the Nerazzurri's history (five). Helenio Herrera and Roberto Mancini both have four.
EL TORO AND THE SUPERCOPPA
With the winning goal against Napoli, Lautaro Martinez scored his third goal, in three finals played, in the Supercoppa Italiana. Overall, only Paulo Dybala has scored more goals than El Toro in the history of the competition (four). The Nerazzurri captain reached 123 goals in an Inter shirt, joining Christian Vieri in ninth place in the Club's all-time top scorers list, just one goal away from eighth place.
