Happy birthday, Matrix!

A leader on the pitch, a big presence in the dressing room and an icon of this CLub: during his ten years with Inter, Marco Materazzi represented all this and much more for teammates and fans.

A permanent fixture in the Nerazzurri defence with the unmistakable number 23 shirt on his back, Matrix made 276 appearances and scored 20 goals for Inter. Ten of those came in the 2006/07 season, which ended with him helping the Club to its 15th Scudetto thanks to an unforgettable brace against Siena.

The title bore his mark, as did all the 15 trophies Materazzi won with Inter: 5 Scudetti, 4 Coppe Italia, 4 Italian Super Cups, 1 Champions League, 1 Club World Cup.

Beloved by the fans, Matrix turns 51 today: best wishes from the Inter fans to him!
