Lautaro and Darmian: "There's regret"

“There’s regret, anger and disappointment. We did really well in the first half but could have done better after the restart. There were certain incidents, but VAR has been present for a few years now so it’s difficult to comprehend certain mistakes. Nevertheless, we should have been better, either at killing off the game or keeping the ball so as to not allow our opponents the opportunity to equalise. We need to remain united. There are many games, and we’ll recover and focus on the Coppa Italia. We need everyone; we’re playing every three days and pitches get heavy. Furthermore, our matches are always very intense.”

“There’s regret because we were winning and then conceded a goal in the last minute. It’s never nice, but we need to look forward. There are aspects that we need to improve. I think that we’ll need to work in all respects; there’s not just a single aspect. You always need to work on everything, and that’s what we’ll do in training and in our upcoming matches. Now, a new competition is beginning, one which is important to us. We won it last season and want to progress again this year. It’ll be difficult, but, as always, we’ll take to the pitch to win.”
