Inter could not manage to get more than a 0-0 draw in the match against Sampdoria in Genoa, valid for the 22nd Matchday of Serie A. After the match, coach Simone Inzaghi's comments:
"We are disappointed because we wanted a different result. We did not underestimate the match and we had a good first half, creating a lot. We had to finish better against a team that gave everything on the pitch. Objectively, the boys played the game in the right way, playing well. We had to be sharper on some occasions".
"We have to look at ourselves. We were coming off three wins in a row and, tonight, we clearly wanted the win and that is why there is so much bitterness".
"Lukaku is working hard and needs minutes. He started well and helped us going forwards. He could have scored and then, in the second half, he dropped a bit."
"Ahead of us is the Champions League, a competition that we also played important matches in last season. I am thinking of those games against Real Madrid and Liverpool in particular. This year we did well against Barcelona, for example. Before taking on Porto, though, we have the match against Udinese. We'll think about that, then we'll face the Portuguese: they are a great opponent and we'll try to face it in the best possible way".
