— Mar 4th 2023The thoughts of the Nerazzurri Coach on the eve of Inter's match against Lecce at San Siro
It's the eve of another league encounter for Inter, who are hard at work at the Suning Training Centre preparing for their Sunday showdown against Lecce at San Siro.
This is what Simone Inzaghi had to say ahead of the match:
"We're heading into the game still angry at our last result; we can't wait to return to the pitch. We've analysed the mistakes we made. We'll need to be really focused and use our heads as a difficult match awaits. However, I expect us to react like a great group should, and we are a great group. We'll be up against a team that are doing well and who play excellent football. Lecce are having a really good season, and we'll have to be really attentive. Every match is difficult, as this season is proving.
"We're a united group, as shown by the willingness that the players have always shown. We've had a lot of suspensions and injuries, and this has, at times, resulted in a change of role for various players. However, they've always given an excellent response.
"We could have done better in the league. Nevertheless, we've done some good things in the past 18 months and need to build on the best aspects."
