After the matches played during the night by Argentina and Canada, the international break came to an end for the nerazzurri and their respective nations. Simone Inzaghi and his side are preparing for their league campaign, restarting with an away game against Hellas Verona on Saturday 23 November.

Nicolò Barella played 169 minutes in total, wearing the captain's armband in the France match at San Siro; Federico Dimarco stayed on the field for 151 minutes, providing an assist for Cambiaso's goal against France. In total, Davide Frattesi played a total of 157 minutes.

Lautaro Martinez A historical international break for Lautaro Martinez: the Inter captain scored two goals against Paraguay and Peru, reaching 32 goals and taking over fifth spot from Diego Armando Maradona in the rankings of the highest scoring Argentina players of all time. Against Paraguay, el Toro's goal was not enough to avoid defeat, while the clash at the Bombonera against Peru was decided by Lautaro's extraordinary goal, assisted by Lionel Messi. In total, Lautaro played 171 minutes: Argentina lead the South American World Cup Qualifying group with 25 points, five more than Uruguay in second.

One point in two matches for Albania and Kristjan Asllani: the National side of the Inter midfielder drew 0-0 against the Czech Republic and lost 1-2 to Ukraine. Asllani played the entirety of both matches for the National team, played in Tirana. Albania finish the Group Stage of the Nations League with relegation to League C, after having finished Group 1 in League B in fourth position with seven points.

A win and a loss for Austria and Marko Arnautovic, who only appeared in the home clash against Slovenia. The Inter forward started and played the full 90 minutes, before being substituted in stoppage time. Austria finished Group 3 of League B with eleven points: Arnautovic's National team finished second behind Norway, meaning that they will play off for promotion to League A.

Tajon Buchanan
Tajon Buchanan returned to action after a long injury : the Nerazzurri winger returned to play for his Canada side in the CONCACAF Nations League playoffs. The Canadian national team scored two wins in the double-header against Suriname, qualifying for the semi-finals of the competition. Buchanan returned to playing in the 78th minute of the first leg, coming on in place of Ahmed: the same situation repeated itself in the second match, played in Toronto, where Tajon entered the field in the 74th minute.

Benjamin Pavard, Marcus Thuram
Two matches, a draw and a win for France's Benjamin Pavard and Marcus Thuram. The striker came on as a substitute in the 78th minute in the home match against Israel, and he was a starter for coach Deschamps in the victorious San Siro match against Italy. Marcus was substituted in the 78th minute, while Pavard came on in the 82nd minute in the match in Milan. With these four points, Les Bleus moved into first place in Group 2 of League A of the Nations League.

Mehdi Taremi ‘s positive streak continues for Iran in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. The striker, captain of his own national team, was a key player in Iran's two matches: against North Korea, Mehdi served up the three assists for Iran's three goals, then was unlucky in the final, scoring an own goal and missing a penalty before being substituted in the 81st minute. In the second match against Kyrgyzstan, Taremi unblocked the result by scoring the 1-0 goal: the match then ended in a second consecutive 3-2 win for Iran, who lead Group A of the Qualifiers with 16 points, three more than second-placed Uzbekistan.

Dumfries did not feature in the second match, played against Bosnia-Herzegovina: the match in Zenica featured Stefan De Vrij, a starter and captain of the Oranje in the 1-1 draw.

Two appearances and 180 minutes in total for Piotr Zielinski, Poland's captain in the two matches that closed the Nations League group. The Polish national team were defeated by Portugal and Scotland: Poland thus ended their journey in Group 1 of League A with fourth place and relegation to League B. Last day of the Nations League was a bitter one for Turkey's Hakan Calhanoglu: the Turkish national team was overtaken by Wales in first place and will have to seek promotion to League A in the playoffs in March. The Nerazzurri midfielder only featured in the match that ended in a draw against Wales, in which he played 45 minutes before being replaced at the start of the second half.
