The Coach's thoughts after the loss to Udinese

At the Dacia Arena, Inter suffered their third league defeat of the season, with Sottil's Udinese emerging 3-1 victors. Here's what Coach Simone Inzaghi had to say after the game:

"Udinese were more ruthless than us and deserved to win. It's a defeat that hurts, and, as the Coach, I'm the first one responsible. We've played seven matches and lost three. We're Inter and need to do more.

"The changes? The players who were taken off had been booked and Udinese were winning all the second balls and duels. With the two substitutions, I was hoping to shake things up. We could have approached things better. We scored at the start and then lost; we now need to lick our wounds.

"We got it wrong after the goal. We needed to manage things differently, but Udinese were the more determined team. Our approach in the first 15 minutes of the second half was good, but then we became stretched and, despite knowing that they're a dangerous side, allowed them to hit us on the counter too many times.

"We've shipped nine goals in our last three away matches, the same amount as we conceded across half a season last year. We need to be more focused and determined. We were ahead after four minutes and can't afford to play like we did in the first half. When you concede 9-10 corners, it's normal for a goal to arrive. We need to really reflect on this because it's a defeat that hurts.

"There are no aftershocks from last season, and we continue to work as best we can. It's true that today's performance is a bit surprising; we didn't win a duel and need to be more determined. You can't give a team like Udinese, who are in really good form, these kinds of advantages.

"The international break? We'll stay here and work with two goalkeepers and four outfield players. Many youngsters will be involved as we wait for everyone to return so we can work together."
