Acerbi: "Tough game, we got over the line"

Much like last season, Inter's Coppa Italia campaign began with a win after extra time in the round of 16. Against a spirited Parma side, the holders needed a late Lautaro equaliser and an extra-time winner from Francesco Acerbi:
“I went up for the header, I got there, shot and it went in. It was a really tough game; we said before the game that Parma would be tricky customers. We took risks and brought it home. The next two games? We need to win them both. We have AC Milan in the Supercoppa but, first, it’s Verona in the league so we’ll focus on that. As a team, we’re set up to compete in every competition that we’re in. We’ll see how it goes in the end.”

Kristjan Asllani played the full 120 minutes and kicked off the moves for both Inter goals. Here's what he had to say to Inter TV after the game.
“We’re pleased to be going through; the Coppa Italia is always difficult. Last year, I was on the other team for Inter vs. Empoli. I’m happy this year because we got the win. We weren’t great in the first half but did well after the break to control possession. Parma defender really well; it was massive to get that goal late on. There wasn’t much space, then it opened up in the second half. I’m happy to have helped the team. I had a hand in the goals? I don’t remember really; I’ll need to rewatch the game.”
