Lautaro reaches 100 Serie A goals: "I would never have imagined all of this"

“This is a highly significant win: we continue to show real consistency and also played some fantastic football. The great thing is we’re doing it all together, both those who start and those who come on during matches. We’re doing some fantastic work and need to keep it up. 100 goals in Serie A? Choosing my favourite is difficult; perhaps I’ll go for my 100th, which was my first one tonight. I have to say that when I left home at the age of 15, I would never have imagined all of this: the work and sacrifices of my family when I was a child have made it all possible. All of this is for them. There isn’t a secret: we need to work every day and help each other out. I’m young and can still improve. We still haven’t won anything, so we need to continue to work hard. Goal records aren’t important; I’ll try to break them, but Inter winning is the most important thing. The goals I score help the team. We’ve built on our Champions League journey last season and have improved and matured, but we need to keep raising the bar every match and during every training session.”
