— May 26th 2024Arnautovic bags a brace as Inter finish the 2023/24 season with 94 points
Going into the final game of this unforgettable Scudetto-winning season, a tireless Inter side had accompanied us all the way. We’d experienced incredible emotions, and we’d seen the hard work, spirit of sacrifice, technical ability, grit and high quality of a side that has earned the applause of millions of Inter fans and, game by game, climbed towards the Second Star. And we weren’t expecting to see anything less in the final match. Before the game, the awards were handed out: Alessandro Bastoni for being the best defender, Calhanoglu for being the best midfielder, Lautaro Martinez for being the best overall player across the division, and Simone Inzaghi (who has now reached 250 points with Inter in Serie A) for being the best coach.

However, everyone has contributed this season, as reflected by the match at the Bentegodi. Arnautovic bagged a brace, while Frattesi showed all his determination and was only thwarted by the hugely impressive Perilli. And then there was Raffaele Di Gennaro, who, after being pushed onto the pitch by the entire bench, replaced Audero to make his Inter and Serie A debut. He produced a couple of important stops in the closing stages, too.
