Handanovic: "Not enough focus"

Inter suffered their third defeat of the league season today, with Udinese running out 3-1 winners at the Dacia Arena. This is what Samir Handanovic had to say after the match:

"First of all, we should congratulate Udinese. They were superior in everything: in duels, in terms of intensity, in the way they managed things. The match remained in the balance until the end, but they did more than us and deserved to win.

"Defeats from such matches don't come about by chance: we need to analyse and work on our mistakes. We knew what kind of game awaited us, but we made too many errors when it came to duels and second balls. They are a physical side and we can't afford to lose focus. They inflicted damage on the counter and we failed to play with any tempo. In the end, we paid the price from set-pieces, which means there's a lack of focus. I think it's easy to analyse a game like this; it's clear what happened.

"I know what my job is. Players should only focus on training well. I'm not a problem for Inter and can be a solution. When I don't play, I cheer my teammates on."
