Last day of friendly matches for the national teams not involved in the World Cup in Qatar 2022. Among the Nerazzurri involved on Sunday, the first to take the field was Milan Skriniar with his Slovakia team. The defender, who started in the friendly match in Bratislava for his national team against Chile, played the entire 90 minutes of the match. The game between Slovakia and Chile ended in a 0-0 draw.
This evening Italy faced Austria in Vienna at the Ernst Happel Stadion, with three Nerazzurri players in Roberto Mancini's starting eleven: Francesco Acerbi, Nicolò Barella and Federico Dimarco. The Azzurri lost 2-0 in their final game of 2022. Acerbi and Dimarco played the entire game, with Barella being replaced by Miretti in the 90th minute. Alessandro Bastoni was an unused sub.
