The Coppa Italia final on Wednesday 24 May at 21:00 CEST will be fixture number 14 in the cup competition between Inter and Fiorentina. The record is equal with both teams having won five times, and three draws. The last tie in competition was in the 2020/21 season, when Inter won 2-1 (goals from Vidal and Lukaku) in extra-time in the Round of 16.
Wednesday's game will be the first-ever final Inter and Fiorentina have faced each other in.
INTER IN THE COPPA ITALIA: 15TH FINAL, EIGHT SUCCESSES
The team's showdown against Fiorentina will be the 15th time Inter have appeared in the Coppa Italia final. The Nerazzurri have won eight of the 14 they've featured in so far (in 1939, 1978, 1982, 2005, 2006, 2010, 2011 and 2022).
These victories came against Novara, Napoli, Torino, Roma (three times), Palermo and Juventus. Inter have reached two consecutive Coppa Italia finals for the first time since they did so in 2009/10 and 2010/11.

LAUTARO EVER-PRESENT
Lautaro Martínez is Inter's only player to have appeared in all of the 53 Nerazzurri games played this season, considering all competitions. The Argentinian striker has 25 goals to his name so far, equalling his personal record, that he achieved last season. Toro has scored three times against Fiorentina, all in Serie A. Of these, there was a brace in the first league game played against the Viola earlier in the season.
BARELLA AND GOALS IN THE COPPA ITALIA
Nicolò Barella got his first-ever goal in the Coppa Italia on 29 January 2020 against Fiorentina in the quarter-finals. It was a goal that gave his side a 2-1 victory and passage through to the semis. In total, Barella has two goals to his name in the competition: his second was a cracker from distance against Juventus that broke the deadlock in the final last year.
EIGHTH FINAL
Wednesday's final will be Simone Inzaghi's eighth as a Head Coach, considering all competitions. In total, the Nerazzurri boss has won six, three of which have been in charge of Inter (two Supercoppa Italiana and last year's Coppa Italia).
REFEREE
In charge of the 2022/23 Coppa Italia Frecciarossa final between Fiorentina and Inter will be Massimiliano Irrati.
Irrati will be assisted by Carbone and Lo Cicero on the line, with Fabbri as Fourth official. Leading VAR duties will be Mazzoleni with Marini as Assistant VAR. Ranghetti has been named as back-up official.
