MILANO – 13 seasons defending the Nerazzurri goal from 1970 to 1983 and one of the most-loved goalkeepers by Nerazzurri fans. Today, Ivano Bordon turns 73 and on his birthday we relive his career in an Inter jersey with five curiosities.
UNBEATEN RECORD
In the 1979/80 season, Bordon registered a clean sheet record for an Inter goalkeeper, not conceding a goal for 686 consecutive minutes, between matchdays 4 and 11.
4 TROPHIES WITH THE NERAZZURRI
In his first year with the Nerazzurri, he won his first Scudetto in the 1970/71 season. The second arrived at the end of the 1979/80 season. With Inter, he also lifted 2 Coppa Italia trophies (1977/78 and 1981/82), entering the glorious tradition of goalkeepers who defended our colours.
HALL OF FAME
In 2022, he became the fifth goalkeeper to enter the Inter Hall of Fame after Zenga, Toldo, Pagliuca and Julio Cesar.
