“We didn’t play well in the first half; we weren’t ourselves from a technical and mental perspective. At half-time, the coach told us to be ourselves, so we took to the pitch for the second half and showed what we’re all about. The mental side of things is key to winning matches; they started off well, but there was a mental shift on our part that allowed us to come away with the win. My celebration was a tribute to Stephen Curry, who I watch when I can and is an inspirational figure for me. Today, we really wanted to win and build on our victory over Juventus. I’m happy with my goal and the victory. Winning gives us energy and adrenaline for the week, and we’re fired up. We know what it means to go far in the Champions League and have experienced the pain of defeat in the final. We’ll try to do what we did last season but with a different outcome.”
