— Jun 4th 2022A debut, two assists and 280 minutes total pitch-time for the four Nerazzurri called up
Four Nerazzurri were in action for their respective national sides on Saturday evening in the Nations League. It was Edin Dzeko who was first out, playing 90 minutes for Bosnia and Herzegovina as they faced Finland. The Inter striker got an assist for Smail Prevljak in the dying minutes to pull it back to 1-1 after Teemu Pukki got the opener for the home side in the first half.
Italy were also back playing after losing the Finalissima 2022 against Argentina on Wednesday. They faced Germany in Group 3 of the Nations League, their first game in the competition. It ended in a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Dall’Ara: Italy had taken the lead through Lorenzo Pellegrini on 70 minutes, but Germany responded straight away as Joshua Kimmich drew the visitors level on 73 minutes. Alessandro Bastoni was in Roberto Mancini’s starting line-up and played the whole match, while Federico Dimarco made his debut for the national side, coming on with 10 minutes left to play. Nicolo Barella didn’t get any game time on this occasion.
It was a good result for Hakan Calhanoglu, who played all 90 minutes for Turkey as they put four past the Faroe Islands. After goals from Cengiz Under and Halil Dervisoglu, the Inter midfielder set one up for Serdar Dursun before Merih Demiral finished the game off for the home side.
