MILAN - Milan Skriniar put in yet another good performance and was steady at the back as the Nerazzurri triumphed 2-0 over Roma to make the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia.
"Our aim was to get back to winning ways, which is exactly what we did. That's the most important thing," the centre-back mentioned to Inter TV. "We wanted to hit the ground running with the right level of aggressiveness and set ourselves on target for the next round. That's exactly what we did.
Inter's number 37 started on the right of a back three before moving to the left following Alessandro Bastoni's injury, who was replaced by Stefan de Vrij: "It's true, I did change role but I'm capable of playing all across the back line. I'll do whatever the coach says and I always aim to give my all for the team. Nicolo Zaniolo and Tammy Abraham are dangerous forwards; they created chances but I'm happy because we kept a clean sheet."
Next up for Inter are mammoth showdowns against Napoli and Liverpool: "We're more than ready for the upcoming games. We dropped points in our last game but today you could see how we reacted to that. We expect the next two matches to be tough but we'll give our all for the shirt in them."
