Five questions for… Lautaro Martinez

APPIANO GENTILE – Lautaro Martinez took some time out to answer questions from Inter fans in videos that were posted on Instagram Stories on the club’s official account.

How did it feel the first time you entered San Siro? “It was so emotional. It was packed out with Nerazzurri fans and it was the first time I got to meet all of them. I’ll never forget the first game that I started, which was against Cagliari. I scored a header in front of the fans and it was incredible.”

What’s been the best moment during your time at Inter? “Certainly when we lifted the Scudetto trophy at the Meazza. My whole family was in attendance including my daughter. It was such a happy moment for all of us.”

Tell us about your special relationship with the city of Milan. “It’s a city that I like so much. My family and I are very settled here and pleased to be living in Milan.”

What are the things that make you the happiest away from the pitch? “My daughter, who was born recently, is the biggest joy of all. I’m happy when my family manages to come and see me in Milan as they live far away. Such moments are fantastic, just like spending time with my friends.”

What’s your favourite dish? “If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll already know: asado (Argentine barbecue).”
