The Dutchman gives his thoughts as he gets an assist for Dzeko’s goal

MILAN – You can rely on his trusty right peg. His right peg brought two assists against Empoli and against Venezia tonight it put in the perfect cross for Edin Dzeko's match-winning header. Denzel Dumfries left his mark once again by playing a key role in the Nerazzurri success.

The Dutchman spoke to Inter TV and gave his take on the match: “I’ve been here for a few months now and I’ve fitted in seamlessly in terms of the team and the tactical side of things. Venezia changed their style in order to take us on so it was a tricky game for us, but it was important we won right before we head into the break.”

The game was won in the closing stages: “We’re a bit tired, but the break has come about at just the right time as it gives us a chance to catch our breath. I really want to thank the Nerazzurri fans – their love always spurs me on.”
