Dutchman scores his first home goal for the Nerazzurri

MILAN - Denzel Dumfries has been Inter's shining light in December. He's scored against Roma, Salernitana and Torino as well as playing out of his skin in every game. His goal against Torino was enough for the Nerazzurri to claim all three points and means that he has now scored three times and assisted twice when starting for Inter.

The Dutchman spoke to Inter TV after the game about how it felt to score at San Siro for the first time:

"It's always lovely to score goals, all the more so in this stadium with these fans. What's more, it was the match winner.

"I'm feeling pretty good right now. I feel that people believe in me, I feel that I'm on the same page as the rest of the team and that feels great. Beating Torino was crucial for us; we knew we were up against a tough team. It was a difficult game; they were compact and aggressive and it needed a top team performance.

"2021 has been full of great moments for me. One of the biggest was my move to Inter and also my experience at the European Championships. I'm happy and grateful to everyone and I can't wait to hit the ground running in 2022."
