The Uruguayan midfielder’s thoughts following the 0-0 with Shakhtar Donetsk
KYIV – Just like last season, Inter returned from Kyiv with a 0-0 draw against Shakhtar Donetsk. Afterwards, Matias Vecino, who played 81 minutes, told Inter TV: "We expected this type of match, we know their game and their coach. They are a team that makes it difficult for you: they pull you about to open up the spaces.
“Unfortunately we didn’t have the opportunity to turn the game in our favour. Now we have four games that will decide our future.
"We probably needed to time our attacks better to create better chances. However, a draw away from home is not a bad result.
"After the matches with Sheriff Tiraspol we'll face Shakhtar Donetsk in Milan to try and qualify for the next round."
