SESTO SAN GIOVANNI - On the 27th matchday of the Primavera 1 TIM championship, Empoli beat Inter 3-2 in a match in which the Nerazzurri dominated for large stretches. After a difficult start with the visitors going two goals up, Inter's reaction was intense with a brace from Oristanio. After several squandered attempts by Madonna's team, the Biancazzurri were clinical, as Bozhanaj scored the goal to give them the three points.
As the game began, the Nerazzurri tried to weave some plays together and create danger for Biagini. The visitors, for their part, defended with stability and started off looking to counterattack and exploit the quality of Baldanzi in attacking areas.
The middle phase of the first half belonged entirely to the away side: Ekong slotted it past Stankovic twice, in the 15th and 24th minutes, giving them a two-goal advantage.
The second goal seemed to wake up Coach Madonna’s team who, after switching to four at the back, put their opponents in serious difficulty. The lead was shortened in the 39th minute by the Inter U19s: Oristanio's left-footed effort beat Biagini directly from a corner kick with a wonder goal. A few minutes later, it was the Nerazzurri's number ten who again popped up and almost scored a sensational double from the corner flag. Then, the incident that summed up the final minutes of the first half: The usual Oristanio struck a brilliant shot that kissed the post on its way into the Empoli goalkeeper’s net. The referee initially awarded the goal but decided to rule it out for an alleged handball by Moretti after several seconds of deliberation.
The second half began with Oristanio's left-footed goal in the 50th minute, restoring parity in the game. The Nerazzurri continued to grow as the minutes ticked by: In the 56th minute a goal from Moretti was ruled out due to a foul by Satriano.
The middle phase of the second half saw two great chances to make it 3-2 to Inter, first from Boscolo Chio and then from Satriano who was denied only by the crossbar, in a game that almost seemed cursed.
On 77 minutes came the killing blow for the Nerazzurri: Bozhanaj put Empoli back in front with a shot that passed through several legs and behind Stankovic.
In the final minutes, great pressure by the Nerazzurri almost forced an equaliser on several occasions but without success: Empoli won the match in which the Nerazzurri dominated for long periods.
