VINOVO – On matchday 26 in the Primavera 1 TIM division, Juventus and Inter played out a 1-1 draw. Both of the goals came in the first half: after Casadei had given the Nerazzurri the lead on the 13-minute mark, Iling-Junior equalised for the hosts five minutes later. It was a lively affair involving two teams that tried to win it right until the very end. All in all, the result was the right one. Following today’s result, Inter have maintained their position at the top of the league (one point ahead of Samp and two points ahead of Juventus and Roma).
It was an entertaining showdown right from the get-go, with both sides looking dangerous in attack. Inter broke the deadlock in the 14th minute, when 18-year-old Cesare Casadei headed home Dimarco’s precise cross. However, the Nerazzurri only held the lead for five minutes, with Iling Junior’s shot taking a deflection and beating Stankovic to level matters.
The game continued to be played at a high tempo for the rest of the opening period. While Juventus had most of the ball, Inter put together several good moves, even if Garofani wasn’t ever particularly troubled in the Bianconeri goal. After one minute of added time, the teams headed into the break with the score at 1-1.
The second half started with a scare for the Nerazzurri: a corner was whipped in from the right and De Winter nodded narrowly off target. Inter responded in the 58th minute through Kinkoue, whose great strike stung Garofani’s gloves. With 63 minutes on the clock, Stankovic produced a brilliant stop to keep out Soule’s excellent free kick. Both sides did their utmost to emerge victorious in the closing stages. After a right-footed effort from Omic, Oristanio came close to winning it for Inter. However, the score remained the same: 1-1.
