— Apr 26th 2021The sounds heard at San Siro during Inter's victory over Verona
It’s a silence we’ll never get used to. But without a crowd at San Siro, it’s possible for us to capture the noises coming from the pitch, certain moments and reactions that we wouldn’t otherwise hear. It’s our way of allowing the Nerazzurri fans to immerse themselves in the match atmosphere simply by putting on their headphones. Listening back to the sounds and voices heard during Inter vs. Hellas Verona sends a tingle down the spine. However, there’s also the regret that a San Siro roar wasn’t heard. It would have been deafening.

Our latest Match Sounds podcast with real audio from our victory over Hellas is now online. The main moments of the match are brought to life, like when Hakimi hit the post with a free kick in the second half. A moment of deafening silence broken by a clang as the ball struck the woodwork.
And then there was Darmian’s goal. “Matte, Matte”, a moment of suspense, and an explosion of unbridled joy that filled an empty San Siro and was soon accompanied by goal music. In the meantime, Roberto Scarpini was expressing his delight with the words we’ll never get tired of hearing: "è gol è gol è gol".
