On the second day of the international break, there were two games with vested Nerazzurri interests in World Cup 2022 qualification.
ITALY BEAT NORTHERN IRELAND, BARELLA ON IN THE SECOND HALF
Mancini's Italy got off to a good start in Group C after a 2-0 win over Northern Ireland at the Tardini. Both goals were scored in the first half, with Berardi and Immobile on the scoresheet. Nicolò Barella came on in the 63rd minute to replace Lorenzo Pellegrini. Alessandro Bastoni and Stefano Sensi weren't involved.
The game in Parma was preceded be a minute's silence to remember varous former Azzurri that passed away in recent months. A tribute to Pietro Anastasi, Mauro Bellugi, Mario Corso, Pierino Prati and Paolo Rossi.

DENMARK WIN IN ISRAEL, 90' FOR ERIKSEN
Denmark were also victorious on matchday 1 in Group F, beating Israel 2-0 in Tel-Aviv. Christian Eriksen played the full 90. The goals were scored by Braithwaite and Wind.
RADU'S ROMANIA WIN
Romania beat North Macedonia 3-2 in a cracking game in Group J. Radu was an unused substitute.
