MILAN – Four months have gone by since the last international break. From break to break, the focus on the Nerazzurri: goals, players, numbers and standings.
With the postponement of the last game against Sassuolo, Inter played 20 games in Serie A since the last break, from Inter vs. Torino on 22 November to now. The record in that time reads 20 games, 17 wins, two draws and one defeat for a total of 53 points taken from a possible 60 and a current run of eight consecutive wins.
Inter scored 49 goals in that time; the biggest tally in a single game for Conte’s team was the 6-2 win over Crotone.
The Nerazzurri failed to score on just one occasion – the goalless draw with Udinese. They conceded 15 goals and kept nine clean sheets (four in a row between January and February in games vs. Juve, Udinese, Benevento and Fiorentina).
Inter are top of the league going into the international break after claiming top spot after the win over Lazio, overtaking Pioli’s AC Milan before the #DerbyMilano.
The top goalscorer between the two international breaks was Romelu Lukaku with 14. The Belgian has a total of 19 goals this season in Serie A (second best total after Cristiano Ronaldo).
