MILAN – Inter recorded a deserved and fifth consecutive victory against Genoa at San Siro yesterday. It was an excellent performance from Antonio Conte’s men, who controlled proceedings from the get-go and took the lead very on through Lukaku. Second-half goals from Darmian and Alexis Sanchez then sealed the Nerazzurri’s latest success.
On Twitter, you can vote for the player who you thought performed best yesterday afternoon. The following four players are in contention to pick up the MVP award:
Romelu Lukaku | A goal after 32 seconds, an assist for the second, involved in the third. Unstoppable and dominant.
Lautaro Martinez | He just couldn’t be contained: the Argentine contributed to Lukaku’s opener and made things happen every time he was on the ball.
Matteo Darmian | He flew up and down the right flank continuously and managed to get on the scoresheet in the second half after previously coming close in the opening period
Alexis Sanchez | He came on, scored within seconds and then almost bagged a brace. A big impact from the Chilean.
