Armando Madonna's U19s came back against Sassuolo before taking the lead but Mattioli's goal provides the last laugh

SASSUOLO – Lots of emotions at the Mapei Football Centre. Armando Madonna’s Inter came from behind twice against Sassuolo and were momentarily in front thanks to Satriano’s brace, but the final say was to be the host’s, as Mattioli scored the definitive, equalising goal. The Nerazzurri U19s will return to action on Wednesday in the Milan derby against AC Milan at Vismara sports centre.

In the first half, Sassuolo suddenly breaks the deadlock at 12 minutes: a corner kick from the left is met by Ripamonti's winning header. With the passing of the minutes the Nerazzurri’s quality begins to emerge, and they deservedly draw level in the 27th minute with Bonfanti, a good shot with his left to finish off Wieser's high recovery of ball. The 1-1 scoreline lasts very little time, as again from a set piece Sassuolo comes back: Ripamonti strikes it once again in the penalty area, Stankovic saves but fastest to the rebound is Samele who pops it into the net to re-take the advantage.

The Nerazzurri start the second half with great conviction and draw level after only 3 minutes: Casadei is held in the penalty area, Satriano is cool as you like from the spot and beats Vitale. First Bonfanti, then Oristanio in the following minutes came close to the 3-2 goal. But in the 69th minute it is once again Martin Satriano, who completes the comeback: a free kick hit perfectly by Squizzato and an aerial shot by the number 22 that leaves no chance for the neroverde defenders. In the end, the final blow came against Armando Madonna's U19s, who conceded the equalizer to the newly entered Mattioli. Satriano's brace is not enough, it ends 3-3 at the Mapei Football Center.
